TRT is a process of learning to cope with the tinnitus on a conscious and subconscious level. This technique has helped a lot of people to get stress reductions and a better quality of life. The main purpose of TRT is to eliminate the patient’s anxiety, so that the tinnitus is no longer perceived as a danger, thus diverting the concentration away from the tinnitus noise.

  • Have a Bluetooth speaker in your bedroom and play water flow sounds and rain sounds while you sleep.

If tinnitus is associated with hearing loss, then hearing aids having features for tinnitus masking is prescribed and programmed accordingly. Tinnitus maskers are special devices that are worn like hearing aids which emit white noise to suppress tinnitus. After careful hearing evaluation, we at Hearing Care Clinic (Hearing aid Centre) initially evaluate if the tinnitus present is related to hearing loss or some other cause. If it is due to somatic origin than other treatment modalities are adapted.
